Certification: DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III certification is required prior to start date.
Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph prior to starting
COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT: OSPF, BGP, VRFs; proficient in Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, and firewalls; proficient with Cisco and Palo Alto

As a Network Engineer/Computer Network Architect., you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

DUTIES:
⦁ Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support the government organization's systems, including local
area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication
systems.
⦁ Manage fact finding, analysis and development of final reports and delivery of presentations related to information
technology.
⦁ Responsible for designing, leading and managing the delivery of mission critical systems and software products.
⦁ Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations to determine functional requirements
⦁ Work closely with versatile systems and engineering specialists to prioritize customer requirements, define goals,
and refine business objectives.
⦁ Coordinates with Systems Architect / Engineers, Security, and Program/Project Management to ensure team
alignment on key initiatives and dependencies between groups.
⦁ Assist with network / system design and analyze network models
⦁ Provide "day-to-day" on-site support customer network, Virtual, and physical server systems.
⦁ Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies
⦁ Oversee the Installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures
⦁ Design network and computer security measures to defend, detect and prevent unauthorized network activity.
⦁ May manage and define network device firewall policies, rules and reports to support network defense.
⦁ May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
⦁ Operate monitoring tools/capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) and
create/tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Required Education and Experience: BA/BS + 10 years
⦁ Required Technical Skills: Understanding of spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, VRFs; proficient in Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, and firewalls;
proficient with Cisco and Palo Alto
firewalls; familiar with cloud networking; general troubleshooting skills; physical ability to install new hardware
⦁ Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc.
⦁ Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
⦁ Experience with SAN, NAS and iSCSI storage implementations
⦁ Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
⦁ Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
⦁ Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
⦁ Senior level experience with design, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple
hardware platforms and data
