Telecom Network Systems Engineer
Rate: $60 to $69 an hour with partial benefits

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or naturalization is required.

Impact:
- Performs cellular telecom or satellite communications, IP network system design including VoIP and SIP services, and related troubleshooting
- Performs requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, detailed trade studies
- Develops and evaluates systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications
- Participates in Modeling and Simulation activities
- Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
- Provides leadership and/or direction to lower level employees
- Provides engineering support to proposals
- Guides the development and test teams on successful completion of network design implementation and verification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- Over 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
- IP Networking techniques and technologies; particularly as applied to cellular telecom Radio Access Networks and Core networks
- Proficiency with SIP and VoIP protocols; experience with voice and data gateways for cellular telecom or WAN networks
- 3GPP mobile network standards; particularly as related to the Core Network and Multi-Media Subsystem (MMS) elements
- Excellent use and understanding of systems engineering and development lifecycle concepts and principles
- Requirements management & network system modeling tools
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, MS365)
