The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide expertise in Software Development using Java and Object Oriented Programming concepts. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

Required Qualifications:
- 16+ years of relevant work experience
- Good understanding and experience with JAVA and object-oriented programming concepts
- Good understanding of python and, Jython JavaScript frameworks
- Very good understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL - does not have to be Oracle
- Experience working with SQL tools like SQL Developer or Toad
- Good understanding and experience using Eclipse IDE
- Familiarity and experience with a J2EE application server platform (Websphere or Weblogic)
- Familiarity with PKI concepts and certificates
- Good understanding of we service protocols and SOAP and REST
- Good understanding and working experience with Commercial Off-the-Shelf software (COTS)
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Good communication skills and can write technical and functional requirements (user stories)
- BA/BS Degree desired
- US Citizenship and an active Top Secret with Polygraph security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience building GUI applications and understanding of GUI concepts
- Previous experience or knowledge of logistics business processes and policy (procurement, accountable property an inventory)
- Previous experience with an enterprise asset management COTS product
- Maximo or SAP is a plus
