Software Engineer

As required by the government client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance or the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph clearance to be considered.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a Top Secret/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in C++, Python, and Java to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions to meet mission-critical requirements. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong integration skills, a solid understanding of software development best practices, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Software Engineer: $92,000 to $150,000.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and implement algorithms and software features using C++, Python, and Java.
  • Integrate software with external components and APIs.
  • Test software at various levels, including unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Deploy and maintain operational and test systems.
  • Perform ad hoc troubleshooting and resolution of site-specific issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of mission requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Software Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience in a related field in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Proficient in C++:
    • Object-oriented design, coding, and unit testing.
    • Debugging and troubleshooting complex, multi-threaded applications.
  • Strong foundation in Java:
    • Writing unit tests (e.g., JUnit).
    • Dependency management using Maven.
    • Integration of third-party libraries.
    • Writing robust, error-checked code.
  • Understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
