Job Description: NOTE FROM THE HIRING MANAGER:
This Request is for the manager of previous Request #15937. We have a continual need to fill these positions.
Many of the previous candidates that were submitted to my previous requests were very weak with C++. This is a no-kidding C++ development job where past exposure to C++ will not suffice, but rather past experience with building C++ applications from the ground up is a necessity.
Please do not submit candidates that were submitted to Requests #15074, # 14962, #12465, #14005, #15293, #15681, #15685 & 15937.
I am only interested in candidates that currently hold an Active Secret Clearance!
PREVIOUS NOTE FROM MANAGER:
Most of the candidates that were submitted to previous Request #12465, #14005 & 15685 when interviewed did not have working knowledge of the below required experience areas. Please ensure you confirm with your candidates prior to submitting them to this request that they have 11+ years of experience with the below experience areas. I am also requesting that your candidate resumes shows exactly where they have the below required experience. Noting the required experience on the top of the resume and not exactly where the candidate has had the required experience will not be considered by my team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AREAS:
Please ensure that candidate has strength in the following areas: Object Oriented-principles, C++, complex problem solving using data structures and algorithms, and deep understanding of Operating System concepts. Please do not submit candidates that have marginal exposure to C++ and have worked predominantly in C, since they will have to work with code that is written in C++ version 11 or higher.
Role Description:
Seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain real-time embedded software applications. Typical applications are software products related to image processing, target detection and tracking, missile guidance/ navigation/ control algorithms, missile launchers, system control, built-in test, and system communication. Development will be in C++ hosted on a Linux-based environment or VxWorks or Integrity as the real-time operating system. Familiarity with standard communication busses and protocols including RS-232, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553 and Ethernet is helpful but not required. The candidate will have experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle including architecture, design, code implementation, and integration and test. The candidate will be experienced in technical task leadership and/or be a subject matter expert in an area relevant to *** products described in the above paragraph. The candidate will have a strong background in real-time embedded software development along with demonstrated technical leadership. The candidate will be familiar with using source code control and issue tracking tools along with using modern test tools to do unit test and static analysis. An ideal candidate will be able to configure and manage a continuous test environment. Bonus skills would be familiarity with Agile development, Cyber Security, Department of Defense products, board support package and device driver development. Status of DOD clearance required on resumes, with investigation date preferred.
