Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
  • Security Inspections: Conduct physical security inspections, audits, and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures.
  • Threat Analysis: Review and analyze threat and vulnerability studies, and test physical, electronic, and IT access control systems.
  • Protect Critical Infrastructure: Provide added protection to NASA Critical Infrastructure and evaluate installation protection needs.
  • Contingency Planning: Develop, support, and evaluate contingency operation exercises, and document training for resource protection staff.
  • Emergency Duty: Be available for emergency duty during hurricanes, disasters, or declared emergencies

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 4 years of prior experience with physical security or vulnerability assessments, and prior experience with security inspections.
  • Certifications: ISC Risk Management Process Training Program, ICS-100, IS-700, IS-1170, IS-1171, IS-1173, IS-1174, and knowledge of COI and CVI.
  • Skills: Knowledge of standard office practices, report preparation, and DHS Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism (CFATS) program. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
  • Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must successfully complete all training and obtain all required licenses, certifications, and security/medical clearances for the site.
