Description

SSI is seeking an experienced, independent professional to lead capture management and business development activities for our HUBZone small business. The Capture Manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and positioning SSI as the contractor of choice for both prime and subcontractor DoD opportunities which align with our core capabilities and targeted growth to Federal government agencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the capture strategy development for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that align with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to form capture strategies and identify emerging trends, track and respond to government RFI's and Sources Sought requests.
  • Assess markets and develops relationships with partners.
  • Manage the capture pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain capture plans, action items, and timelines to ensure successful bid submissions.
  • Maintain records of prospects, client, and competitor information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Lead proposal response development, draft content, review and provide feedback to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness.
  • Ensures proposal compliance and delivers winning responses.


Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related role, with a focus on small business and/or HUBZone environments
  • Proven track record of successfully capturing new business opportunities and managing proposal processes
  • Strong understanding of the government contracting process and relevant regulations
  • Experience working with Federal Agencies with Navy experience being a plus
  • In depth understanding of information technology services and solutions including infrastructure support, network operations, virtual data storage, cyber security and information assurance
  • In depth understanding of Federal acquisition processes, resources, and methods
  • Capable to developing content for RFIs, RFPs, and other bid mechanisms
  • Must be self-driven, with excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to be productive as a 100% telecommuter with no direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Occasional travel to customer and company work locations and/or industry events may be required
  • Active DoD clearance: TS preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior military and/or technical background a plus
  • Master's degree in business or IT field
  • PMP certification preferred
