Responsibilities

Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Peraton is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
What you will do:
- Lead the deployment of open-source software in a cloud environment
- Build and test a Helm chart for the deployment of containerized web services
- Create and deploy Azure GovCloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Build automated pipelines for security assessments, testing, and deployment of Infrastructure as Code
- Support security audits and assessments of deployed infrastructure
- Support modification of PHP open-source web services
- Core hours are 0930-1430 Monday-Friday to ensure overlap with the team, attendance is expected outside of this window as needed to support meetings, deployments, and team activities.
- At least one day on-site per week as determined by project manager(s) in conjunction with customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD (four additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a BA/BS degree).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Expertise developing Kubernetes objects and Helm charts
- Expertise deploying infrastructure with automated pipelines
- Experience writing Terraform for deploying Azure GovCloud infrastructure
- Experience developing web services with PHP
- Experience integrating software with single sign on solutions
- Experience developing automated tests for web services
- Experience with agile software delivery lifecycles, with particular emphasis on requirements
- analysis, design, and testing experience.
- Experience working in a disconnected network (not connected to the internet).
Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
