This position is based out of two locations (Boulder, CO and Annapolis Junction, Maryland)
This hybrid remote position requires one to be onsite 1 day a week in Boulder, CO, OR Annapolis Junction, MD.
Must be local to the Boulder OR DC, MD, VA State area or within a 2-hour commute.
PRISM seeks an RHEL engineer. As an RHEL Engineer, you will be crucial in maintaining and optimizing our Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our RHEL-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain RHEL systems.
Manage system updates, patches, and security hardening.
Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions.
Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization.
Automation:
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
Develop automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Security:
Implement security best practices and policies.
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Respond to security incidents and threats.
Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
7+ years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems
Strong understanding of RHEL and its core components.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ansible).
Knowledge of system administration tasks, including user management, file systems, networking, and storage.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
