Kavaliro is seeking an ISSM that will support a client in Rockledge, FL
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity policies and practices, ensuring compliance with DoDI 8500.01, AFI 17-101, and AFMAN 17-1301.
• Manage the security of Air Force IT/IS, including Computer Security (COMPUSEC) practices.
• Lead RMF activities to ensure system authorization and accreditation in accordance with Air Force requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop, update, and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including system security plans and risk assessments.
• Serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring the CDSS network operates securely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to address cybersecurity challenges and ensure compliance with Air Force standards.
Qualifications:
• Active IAM Level II cybersecurity baseline certification (e.g., CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP).
• Strong understanding of Air Force cybersecurity policies and frameworks, including DoDI 8500.01, AFI 17-101, and AFMAN 17-1301.
• Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity programs, including RMF compliance and security risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.
Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience managing IT/IS security within Air Force or Department of Defense environments.
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex cybersecurity initiatives.
Clearance Requirements
• Active TS/SCI
The Contractor must possess or obtain a facility security clearance at the classification level of Secret prior to submitting a proposal.
2.17.7.1 All personnel on this effort require a minimum of a favorably completed Tier 3 (T3) background investigation resulting in access to Secret information. The Government (Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA)) assumes costs and conducts security investigations for Secret, and Confidential facility security clearances. The Contractor shall request security clearances (Submit Clearance Paperwork through DCSA to the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB)) for personnel requiring access to classified information within 15 days after receiving a facility clearance or, if the Contractor is already cleared, within 15 days after contract award. Due to costs involved with security investigations, requests for Contractor security clearances shall be kept to an absolute minimum necessary to perform contract requirements. Partner Nation personnel’s background investigation shall be cleared to perform unclassified duties by a security agency approved by the US Government.
