Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager that will be involved in activities directly related to the management of a team of experienced system engineers. Will be required to lead a team of system engineers through the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to SIGINT/ELINT Airborne Systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts.
  • Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the SIGINT Systems department goals.
  • Manages the experienced professionals of the SIGINT Development Systems department.
  • Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the SIGINT Development Systems department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goals.
  • Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the SIGINT Development Systems organization.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors.
  • Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches.
  • Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the SIGINT Systems department.
  • Use of Microsoft office applications.
  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
  • Graduate Degree with 10 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems experience.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams.
  • Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management.
  • Entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities.
  • IRAD and Technical Baseline development/management.
  • Requirements Management experience.
  • Proposal Development experience.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
