Operations Support Analyst

Overview:

The Operations Support Analyst shall coordinate with Vietnam War Commemoration (VWC) staff and commemorative partners to prepare for and provide materials to support events and activities across the United States. The commemoration has 200,000 Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pins on hand and seeks to present these at partner hosted events across the United States through September 30, 2025. The average event size recognizes 50 veterans (e.g., approximately 4,000 events to be supported). Events occur throughout the year, with surge periods around National Vietnam War Veterans Day (March), Memorial Day (May), and Veterans Day (November).

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to the needs of potential and current Commemorative Partners in their recruitment, application processes, event planning, and ongoing communications
  • Conduct background analysis to gather information for decision-making
  • Organize meetings and coordinate meeting logistics
  • Process requests for information and materials received through the VWC website, e-mails, and telephone interactions
  • Update the AmericanEagle.com iDev Content Management System database and inventory reports
  • Generate shipping labels for outbound packages/pack and ship materials/receive returned materials
  • Process after action reviews
  • Collect, analyze, prepare, and distribute information including daily, weekly, monthly, and year-to-date statistics
  • Respond to the needs of individual Vietnam Veterans and their families to receive recognition and honor for the Veteran's and family's service and sacrifice
  • Review website to ensure accurate content
  • Support and travel, as necessary and needed to events sponsored by Commemoration or Commemorative Partners. Estimated travel is one CONUS trip per month with a three-day duration
  • Preparation of reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations
  • Provide input for the development of office standard operating procedures

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree but can be waived with sufficient experience
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience
  • Position is based onsite (not remote)
  • Experience interacting with senior executives
  • Strong MS Office experience, especially Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Polished professional demeanor
  • Active security clearance or higher required
