Insight Global is hiring TRAVELING Network installation technicians to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoD Program supporting DISA. These candidates must be comfortable traveling 75-80% of the time and will work remotely when not traveling.
The selected candidates will be traveling 75%- 80% of the time to CONUS to military sites and bases across the United States helping survey, install, configure, troubleshoot, and document network equipment. This will include new installations; decommissioning and replacing old equipment; cable plant and wireless installations, and general racking, stacking, labeling, installing and terminating cables and fiber optics in telecom and server rooms, and provide general testing and troubleshooting of routers, switches and servers.
An understanding of NIPR and SIPR Networks and the requirements for Protective Distribution Systems, TEMPEST Systems and National Security Telecom and Information Systems would be helpful.
Minimum job requirements include:
- Must be willing and able to travel 80% of the time (All expenses will be paid by company)
- Must hold an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; 4 Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Security + Certification
Requirements of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security and/or the Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA).
Knowledge of National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003.
Knowledge of DISA network topologies and standards.
Topology and rack elevations using Visio.
Experience with various OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers to develop reports for infrastructure certification documentation.
