We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer specializing in systems software to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement system software components, including operating systems, device drivers, and system utilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues across various platforms and environments.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in systems software development.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture designs.
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • An Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • 7+ years of experience in systems software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java/JEE programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, computer architecture, and low-level system interactions.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and distributed systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Desired:
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or relevant publications.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,400 - $198,300
