Software Engineer

TIAG is now hiring a Software Engineer to join our remote team. The position requires a Secret clearance and therefore requires the applicant to be a US or Naturalized Citizen.

The Software Engineer will be part of a team that is focused on delivering custom web solutions to a diverse customer base. The role will be responsible for performing the full life-cycle development of software applications using primarily ASP.NET framework, utilizing both web forms and MVC, with a SQL server database backend.

Position responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to project deliverables within a multi-person team environment using Agile methodologies.
• Provide accurate and timely estimates of work tasks to include engineering, testing, and documentation using Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Management Studio, and Google's G Suite for business.
• Translate use cases, designs, and formal requirements to a functional web application and database.
• As a remote team member, provide continuous collaboration and communication with team members using a variety of tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and development operations software.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues/defects; participate in other meetings, such as those for use case creation.
• Assist with Quality Assurance testing based on test plans and scripts to ensure high performance and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with the project manager, UX/UI Designer, and production team to ensure all designs and development are on target for the client.
• Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle a fast-paced work environment, and meet hard deadlines.

Required Experience:

• 5 years' minimum experience in scripting, software development, web page design, and development, including three years of hands-on software development/web-page (Full-Stack) development experience.
• Solid understanding and experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL, Visual Basic, jQuery, javascript, and other client frameworks.
• Significant experience with ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Azure cloud environment.
• Experience working in a multiple-developer team environment, peer code reviews, daily code commits, and other team collaboration activities
• Must demonstrate experience developing complex web-based software applications applying capabilities such as, but not limited to, XML development, authoring JavaScript, creating data interfaces, and employing application frameworks.
• Experience with content management systems and mobile application development a plus
• Familiar with Cloud Computing services, primarily Azure
• General understanding of Mail Gateway/SMTP Relay
• Experience with TFS and GIT source code management systems
• General understanding of UI/UX design paradigms and patterns
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science OR a related field.
• Experience working in DoD environments is preferred with experience working in the Army environment is a plus
• Completing IAT Level II Certification such as Security + with a computing environment certification is required within 30-days of employment if not already certified.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $115,000 per year
