Software Developer ( Short term/ 3 Months)

TIAG is now hiring a Software Developer to join our remote team providing development and engineering support for the Department of Defense (DoD).

This position is 100% remote. Under the guidance of a Lead Software Developer, the Software Developer will support the customer during EST hours with flexibility to support meetings if required that align with the team in Naples, Italy. Active DoD Secret clearance and valid passport are required for consideration.

Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain code for web applications using Python, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript development. J
• Work with Django to modify business functionality, components, and data models.
• Apply knowledge of Azure services to the architecture of applications and integrate those applications into the Azure cloud platform.
• Assist with project documentation and diagramming in support of system accreditation.
• Provide support of 3rd party software components.
• Follow DevSecOps best practices within the organization and make process improvement requests when needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify business requirements, estimate costs, and assist with work scheduling.
• Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of the releases.
• Collaborate with the team to implement unit and integration tests to validate code quality as part of the software development lifecycle.
• Support Operations Teams as part of the Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Support agile best-practices.
• Support software deployments by updating deployment files as needed, collaborating with release stakeholders, and triaging any issues found in the release.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in the software development field.

Required Experience:

• Azure cloud experience or certifications desired. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in software development with web development technologies like SQL, HTML, JavaScript
• An understanding of Python well enough to implement basic solutions independently and understands a related framework (i.e Django)
• Familiarity with common object-oriented design patterns and when to utilize them effectively.
• Understands the software development lifecycle and its supporting tools and technologies such as git, CI/CD, and Azure Devops.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• VALID PASSPORT

Preferred Experience:

• Experience using SQL to query application data
• Experience with SDLC tools such as git, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience in applying agile or scrum development methodologies.
• Possess Security+ certification OR DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II and DoD 8140 Intermediate System Administrator baseline certification.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
