Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description
TRIAEM is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory services in support of a Federal Government contract. On a typical day, the engineer will provide technical advice to the government and perform systems engineering functions such as requirements management. The solution domain is focused on capturing, storing, and analyzing network sensor data stored using a Big Data framework. The government uses a blend of processes from multiple government and commercial standards such as the Department of Defense Application Framework, Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge, Scaled Agile Framework, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, and the Project Management Body of Knowledge.

Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description
TRIAEM is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory services in support of a Federal Government contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in collaborative meetings with our clients, project teams and other key stakeholders to gain an understanding of the day-to-day system requirements
- Create and manage functional requirements based on soliciting stakeholder needs
- Facilitate technical exchange meetings ensuring on-time delivery of project deliverables and technical review briefings
Key Tasks Include:
- Coordinate with the government stakeholders and refine requirements to a point where they can be handed to the developer for implementation
- Establish success criteria
- Track requirement completion and implementation to ensure stakeholder needs are met
- Coordinate on the security risk analysis sections of security assessment reports.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum 8-10 years or over all experience or equivalent. Master's 6-8 years or over all experience or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a system engineer or systems integrator. The candidate will be expected to help the government synchronize deliveries from multiple development teams into a single product release
- Requirements management
- Expert experience in managing projects through a government endorsed lifecycle model, such as the DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle, or the Defense Acquisition Framework
- Experience creating requirements and architectural views with tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented System (DOORS), System Architect, Magic Draw/ Cameo and/or Visio.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies
- Excellent grammatical, organization and communication skills
- Active Secret clearance required
Desired Skills:
- DHS Suitability is a plus
- Highly desired: Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience managing requirements and architecture
- Relevant certifications: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) , Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2), COBIT, CISSP, Security+
- Experience using JIRA, JIRA Align
- Experience with Relational Database Systems (RDBMS)
