Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Communications and Network Design:
· Design and implement advanced network solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
· Develop server and service architectures in support of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) across physical and virtual environments.
2. Leadership and Advisory:
· Advise senior leaders on aligning network designs with operational requirements and customer IT needs.
· Provide forward-thinking recommendations to enhance communication capabilities.
3. Network Architecture Development:
· Develop WAN and LAN architectures based on unit MTOE equipment and COTS/GOTS solutions.
· Document networks with a focus on redundancy, chokepoints, and risks, submitting updates for approval to the change control board (CCB).
4. Exercise Planning and Execution:
· Participate in planning conferences, tailoring network architectures to mission-specific requirements.
· Support on-site execution of exercises by establishing and managing tactical networks.
5. Collaboration and Integration:
· Work closely with USINDOPACOM, USARPAC, and coalition partners to develop communication strategies and implement advanced network designs.
6. Cybersecurity and Risk Management:
· Integrate cybersecurity measures into network designs to safeguard communication systems.
· Monitor network performance and provide mitigation strategies for any identified risks.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
· Draft detailed signal annexes, concepts of operations (CONOPs), and technical documentation to align network designs with customer IT requirements.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· Certifications (one or more of the following):
· CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II Certification).
· CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or equivalent.
· 5- 10 Years Experience in:
· Network design and integration.
· Tactical communication systems and mission partner environments.
· Joint-level network planning.
· Familiarity with USARPAC AOR and OPLAN requirements.
· Current US Passport
· Active DoD Secret clearance eligibility from day one.

· Advanced certifications, such as:
· CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
· CompTIA Network+.
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
· 4-6 years of experience in network engineering and systems integration.
· Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and associated networking technologies (SNMP, SMTP, HTTP).

Additional Requirements:
· Ability to travel extensively within the USARPAC AOR for planning conferences and on-site support.
· Capability to support extended hours and rotating shifts during exercise execution.
