Job Title: Palo Alto Level II Engineer - Ft. Meade, MD
Top Secret clearance – TS/SCI with a full-scope poly required.
Job Description:
A Level II Engineer operates independently to deliver successful outcomes for our client’s customers, aligning with predetermined goals and statements of work. This role requires specialization in a specific capability and the ability to manage tasks with minimal oversight. The individual may also assist Associate and Level I Engineers and will regularly interact with clients, requiring excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Possess an advanced understanding of the primary technologies in their environment.
Solve complex problems and provide mentorship to Associate and Level I Engineers when necessary.
Focus on corporate strategy, training, and engagement delivery, spending 5%, 10%, and 85% of time on these, respectively.
Engagement Delivery:
Execute tasks outlined in the statement of work with minimal oversight.
Work with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with Senior Engineers on complex engagements.
Lead technical discussions when needed and provide technical support during and after implementation.
Serve as a mentor for less-experienced engineers.
Escalate complex issues and document project progress in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Top Secret clearance – TS/SCI with a full-scope poly required.
Experience in classified environments.
Expert knowledge of Palo Alto Network products (NGFW, Panorama, Global Protect, Prisma Access).
Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of related experience.
Experience with IP network routing, switching (CCNP or equivalent preferred), Kubernetes, Linux, and Terraform.
Understanding of governance/compliance, FAR, DFARs, CUI, CMMC, FedRAMP, and IL constructs.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
