This position is in Reston, VA.

We are seeking a highly motivate System Administrator to join our National Intelligence Program to be at the forefront of complex enterprise IT initiatives .

Job Description:
  • T his individual will play a crucial role in maintaining , upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting a large IT enterprise environment ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical systems.
  • The role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong background in system administration.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Desired Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and Possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Required:
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on supporting a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization technologies, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a secure and scalable infrastructure, balancing performance and resilience.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar for automation of administrative tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and address complex issues.
  • Administer and maintain servers, storage, and network systems to ensure the reliable operation of data services and analytic tools.
  • Manage system requirements and configurations for data visualization platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Monitor systems performance, implement performance tuning strategies, and conduct proactive resource optimization.
  • Ensure proper security measures are in place for the protection of data, including regular system patches and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting system issues, offering timely and viable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems architecture, configuration, and support procedures.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for data services and analytics applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and integrate improvements to the data services infrastructure.

Desired:
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
