Sourceree is currently seeking an experienced RDIM/RAVEN Software (Visualization) Engineer to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role will be primarily onsite with some hybrid capability.

About The Role:
The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Readiness is seeking a technical writer to develop documentation to support the institutionalization and adoption of the client’s analytics and reporting systems.
In this role, you will develop documentation related to the Readiness Decision Impact Model (RDIM), a predictive model that helps senior leaders understands the impact of their decisions on future readiness, and the Readiness Analytics Visualization Environment (RAVEN), an application for non-technical users to access RDIM’s insights
Essential Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
Record assumptions, capabilities, methodologies, and limitations for RDIM to support the validation, verification, and accreditation of aviation, maritime and ground unit models.
Write software user manuals for the applications in RAVEN.
Develop user acceptance testing guides for applications in RAVEN.
Build out the software system design between RDIM and RAVEN.
Capture requirements and priorities from clients for RDIM and RAVEN development and building out concept of operations documentation.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience writing clear, comprehensive technical documentation (e.g., system requirements documents, system design documents)
Ability to define and outline the architecture, components, interfaces, and data of software systems.
Experience developing ‘get started’ guides, instructions, glossaries, troubleshooting tips, etc. and providing technical writing support for applications and data analytics products.
Proven experience in data visualization design and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong background in UI/UX design with the ability to create user-friendly interfaces for complex data sets.
Expertise in working with data from Python-based models and integrating it into interactive dashboards or visual environments.
Familiarity with data analysis, data mining, and visualization frameworks, particularly in defense or government settings.
Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements into actionable design concepts.
Travel requirements: < 25%
Security Clearance: ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Clearance.
