Responsibilities
- Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals.
- Acquires and applies comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, shows a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repairs and shows the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Maintains and repairs aircraft systems including but not limited to flight controls, engines, avionics/electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components. Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
- Shows a detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tension-meters, sheet metal brakes/sheers, etc. is required.
- Obtains and maintains required security clearances.
- Complies with FAA Regulations as well as written Company maintenance and logistics procedures.
- Complies with United States Air Force aircraft records policies and procedures. Ensures aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded and corrected in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
- Performs aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
- Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments in a timely manner while maintaining the required level of quality.
- Performs all scheduled and Phase maintenance for the Air Force C-21 fleet.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License for a minimum of two years.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Passport
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as read and interpret instructions from technical manuals, blueprints and internal Company documents.
- Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
- Must have the ability to deploy on short notice.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 years or more Learjet experience.
