Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform systems administration of cyber tools sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.
- Provide support to developmental and operational systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
- Maintain integrity and security of cross domain system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.
- Configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems and install and load operating system and application software.
- Learn how to help clients overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management.
- Analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network
- Combine technical knowledge and communication skills to turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.
- Work individually and as team participant and obtain guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, or managers
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a system administrator
- Experience with operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including operating systems
- Experience with installing and configuring devices, applications, and security tools
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- HS diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Associate's degree and 2+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support (IS) certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND within 30 days of hire
Desired Skills
- Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer
- Experience scripting in PowerShell or BASH command line interfaces
- Experience in using Active Directory to manage Windows policies
- Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions
