This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including quality assurance of data feeds, providing support for data triage, and enhancing data collection and analysis workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong Python programming skills and a proven track record of working with both structured and unstructured data in various tools and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance of data feeds and datasets.
- Support data triage and assessment activities.
- Identify and document opportunities to improve workflows and systems.
- Participate in regular stand-up meetings and provide input during code reviews.
- Cross-train on existing data collection tools.
- Build, monitor, and report on data systems (e.g., dashboards).
- Research and document options for collecting and aggregating data from various web and internal platforms.
- Evaluate web-based platforms for access control features and make recommendations for data acquisition.
- Develop and maintain Python-based scripts for data collection, processing, and system enhancement.
- Automate data cleanup, conditioning, management, and dissemination processes.
- Collaborate on new use case development and provide data-driven insights.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience programming in Python.
- Proficiency working with both structured and unstructured data (e.g., MS Excel).
- Experience with database tools (e.g., SQL, Presto) and data lakes (e.g., S3).
- Experience building data visualizations and dashboards with tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Tableau, Apache Superset, or PowerBI.
- Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, easily understood reports, visuals, or presentations.
- Experience formulating analytic requirements, evaluating results, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively, accept feedback, and develop customer-tailored data solutions.
Highly Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with AI/ML, particularly natural language processing in a production setting.
- Expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and inferential statistics.
- Familiarity with data management tools like Hadoop, MapReduce, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Zeppelin, Jupyter Notebooks, and Spark/PySpark.
- Proficiency in MS Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Background in supporting traditional and commercial targeting efforts.
- Programming experience in R.
