Software Engineer

NS2 Mission is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA, and play a pivotal role in supporting a critical program. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, coding, and optimizing software solutions that directly contribute to the success of the program's objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance software solutions that are essential to program success.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to innovate and solve technical challenges.
• Ensure the quality and performance of applications and systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet program goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience in Java development.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as SSH, Python, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in utilizing advanced query functions within relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat Application Servlets.
• Proven ability to manage data across multiple systems and databases.
• Experience aggregating and processing data from structured data files (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV, YAML, XLSX), including handling unstructured or "dirty" data.
• Demonstrated ability in data analysis and clustering techniques.
• Proficient in using Git for version control.
• Experience in accrediting systems for cloud environments in accordance with security requirements.
• Experience in collecting, processing, and analyzing data, especially in machine learning contexts (translation skills not required).

Highly Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with the DataCTRL ETL tool.
• Proficiency in using NiFi for ETL processes.
• Strong background in data management.
