Plans and schedules aerospace vehicle maintenance and utilization requirements. Develops plans and establishes production schedules to meet mission requirements. Determines maintenance capabilities to aid in developing operational schedules. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual utilization schedules for known maintenance and operational mission and training requirements. Coordinates with base activities to ensure support is available to meet schedules. Manages aerospace vehicles, engine munitions, missiles, space systems, AGE, and selected equipment inventory data. Reconciles flying hour data with Operations. Schedules and monitors workload requirements. Ensures the maintenance operation center (MOC) supervisor and appropriate Maintenance and Operation Group commanders are advised of maintenance capabilities, limiting production factors, and adherence to maintenance schedules. Uses automated system to schedule and monitor maintenance activities' workload. Schedules maintenance jobs, helps establish work priorities, and monitors completion times. Operates maintenance information systems (MIS) and maintains equipment records to support applicable weapons systems. Coordinates with maintenance data systems analysis to establish automated support requirements. Maintains and audits weapon systems records. Collects, reviews, and files documented information for planning and scheduling maintenance actions. Maintains historical records for weapons and support systems. Manages the weapons system configuration, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO), special inspection, and time change program and their related MIS. Ensures accurate documentation of aircraft engines, munitions, missiles, space systems, AGE configurations, TCTO, time change items, and special inspections. Analyzes maintenance information and requirements and develops visual presentations. Monitors aircraft maintenance scheduling effectiveness. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Typically requires BA and 2-4 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Documentation Requirements:
    • This position uses automated systems, such as word processing equipment, personal computers, or workstations linked to a larger computer or local area network, to produce a variety of documents, such as correspondence, memos, publications, forms, reports, tables and graphs.
    • The Word Processor uses one or more word processing software packages; may also perform routine clerical tasks, such as operating copiers, filing, answering telephones, sorting and distributing mail.
    • Requires both a comprehensive knowledge of word processing software applications and office graphs, charts, or multiple columns. Uses either different word processing packages or many different style macros or special command functions; independently completes assignments and resolves problems.
    • Maintains aircraft/engine records, in accordance with applicable technical orders and directives, master tile and associated records to provide accurate aircraft/engine inventory, configuration and scheduled maintenance data.
    • Coordinates with senior work center personnel and performs administrative activities within the work center as directed.
    • Knowledge - A working knowledge of applicable USAF technical orders and the IMDS is required. Familiarity with the preparation of aircraft forms and reports is desired.
    • Special Conditions - Accurate typing ability is desired. The willingness to observe an irregular work schedule, if necessary, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Air Force Integrated Maintenance Data.
  • System (IMDS) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with debriefing aircraft flight crews.
  • Familiar with Air Force 781 aircraft forms.
  • Experience performing or supervising maintenance scheduling and documenting functions.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, therefore, all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute.
  • Air Force AFSOC CV-22 experience.
  • Air Force MOCC/aircraft debrief experience.
