Planner/Trainer-Project Manager

Summary:
The Planner/Trainer will work in support of the NATO-Georgian Joint Training Evaluation Center (JTEC) as a requirement has been issued to optimize the capabilities within the Georgian Armed Forces by providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) training, leader development, and support for the integration and training of Joint Conflicts and Tactical Simulations (JCATS) database. The specific training requirement areas includes, Virtual Battle Space, TerraTools, JCATS and Red Hat Enterprise LINUX (RHEL) at the NATO-Georgian Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) in Tbilisi, Georgia and other nearby facilities.

Job Duties:
The Planner/Trainer shall provide efficient, effective, and quality knowledge-based training services and training device support solutions to the U.S. Army and the partner nation of Georgia. Train, advise, assist, and mentor tasks include:
  • Provide training and training assistance in military related fields to strengthen the Warfighter's skills required to successfully perform mission requirements and bolster U.S. foreign relations and national security objectives.
  • Provide exercise support to the Army and partner nations to ensure the effectiveness of training readiness of current and future operations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring of the NATO-Georgia JTEC staff.
  • Provide training for Observer/Coach-Trainers (O/C-Ts).
  • Provide assistance and training with creation of a functional Opposing Force (OPFOR) capability.
  • Provide exercise support and coordination of Opposing Forces.
  • Provide technical support for LVC technologies that support development of a Georgian Combat Training Center (CTC).
  • Provide assistance and training in the integration of LVC domains and emerging technologies.
  • Provide limited hardware procurement/repair.
  • Provide training and training assistance in military related fields to strengthen the Warfighter's skills required to successfully perform mission requirements and bolster U.S. foreign relations and national security objectives.
  • Provide exercise support to the Army and partner nations to ensure the effectiveness of training readiness of current and future operations.
  • Provide for over the shoulder instruction, one-on-one training, and group JCATS training in a Simulations Center environment.
  • Conduct training and training assistance for military and civilian related subjects in non-contingency operations in austere and non-austere environments.
  • Willingness to perform work at Host Nation Government facilities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years of experience in Military Simulation Center Network planning and development
  • Three (3) years of experience in Military Simulation Center LVC integration
  • Three (3) years of experience in Military Simulation Center Network architecture planning and integration
  • U.S. Passport required
  • U.S. Driver's license required
  • Instructor grade and experience requirements are provided in: AR 614-200 section 6-9 (Instructor Selection Criteria); Army TRADOC (TR) 350-10 sections 1-6 Page 20 of 43.

Desired Qualifications:
Specific JTEC requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Prior training as a Simulation Operations (FA57).
  • Master's Degree &/or JPME II.
  • The SME is highly qualified and trained in computer and systems administration, network database planning, design, management, troubleshooting, and integration of simulation systems and products.
    • LVC scenario design and development
  • Provide planning, coordination, and support of constructive simulation exercises.
    • After action review data collection, preparation and presentation
    • Develop and provide program of instruction (POI) training packages and lesson materials.
    • Provide train the trainer classes that include scenario creation/development, setup, operation, troubleshooting, integration, modeling, rigging and scripting.
  • Ability to provide JTEC train the trainer classes prior to each LVC exercise.
  • Prior Military service is preferred.

Working Environment:

Must maintain a level of physical fitness that allows him/her to meet the requirements of the position. The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment. The job may require occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for events.
