UUV Technician Operator, Mid

Key Role:

Support the Navy's Unmanned Underwater Vehicle ( UUV ) systems as well as variants of these systems by maintaining, operating, and providing test support. Perform routine and advanced corrective maintenance actions in support of research, development, testing, and evaluation ( RDT & E ) engineering changes. Assist with the development of mission planning and post-mission analysis. Assist the Test Director in performing in-water tests of systems and support equipment. Guide Navy members in the use of these systems as a result of engineering and sof tware changes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience performing routine and advanced corrective maintenance on UUVs or Unmanned Surface Vessels ( USVs ) and their asso cia ted support equipment
  • 1+ years of experience installing and testing engineering changes on UUVs or USVs and their asso cia ted support equipment
  • 1+ years of experience successfully troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, electrical, and sof tware- related problems on UUVs or USVs
  • 1+ years of experience planning and executing UUVs or USVs mission plans, including performing post-mission analysis ( PMA )
  • Experience operating UUVs or USVs while at sea or on the water
  • Experience with Navy maintenance practices and reading and critiquing Navy Te chn ical Manuals
  • Ability to read and redline Naval and commer cia l engineering drawings
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and Navy Fleet activities to coordinate, safely test, and operate UUVs and USVs
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Completion of UUV Advance Maintenance Training Courses

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
