Job Title: Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Network Operation Center (NOC) Manager to lead a team of individuals and join the Visionary Solutions family! This position will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and managing the 24/7 mission critical network systems. This position is responsible for ensuring all systems are always operating effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have rapid response network operations and helpdesk capabilities in addition to management experience.
• Responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and technical guidance to all NOC personnel to ensure quality, delivery and continual improvement for helpdesk and network-related issues, ensuring timely incidents, problem and performance resolutions for end-users.
• Manage daily operations by properly delegating tasks, providing guidance on network related issues, enforcing the processes and procedures established, and monitoring individuals’ performance and progress.
• Develop and implement knowledge management among the team to streamline workflows, enhance team performance and communication, and continue upward growth.
• Responsible for developing and managing training/job aid materials, SOPs, documentation within the ticketing system, and other relevant materials.
• Monitor network performance and capacity, ensuring that the network is operating at maximum efficiency and plan accordingly for anticipated growth opportunities.
• Manage and administer enterprise ticketing, monitoring and voice systems.
• Collaborate with departments, teams and individuals – including matrix resources – to resolve network-related issues and create process improvement plans.
• Lead communications during outages, incidents and process improvements ensuring all customers, teams and personnel are aware.
• Develop and maintain detailed reports on performance, including metrics on incident resolution time, customer satisfaction, and issue trends; ability to prepare status briefings for senior leadership on these metrics.
Qualifications:
• HS degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years experience in network infrastructure, computer systems, TCP/IP, MPLS, and WAN/LAN switching technologies.
• Five (5) or more years in a management or leadership level role, overseeing a team of direct reports and balancing multiple projects and tasks.
• Security+ CE certification required.
• CCNA or JNCIA-Junos certification required; CCNP, JNCIP-ENT or JNCIP-SP preferred.
• Experience using enterprise ticketing and monitoring tools preferred, e.g. SolarWinds, Cisco ISE.
• Must be able to obtain and/or maintain an active TS/SCI with full-lifestyle polygraph security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be willing to work outside of a standard M-F, 9-5 shift, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication, in order to express complex technical concepts effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standard ITSM frameworks such as ITIL preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The work is performed in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. The individual will be required to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time and alternate between different stationary positions. The individual must also be able to move about the office at times. This position requires the ability to communicate frequently. This position may occasionally require the ability to ascend stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, lift light to medium objects, view and operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment and to withstand moderate noise and temperatures.
This position does require shift work to maintain 24/7 operational needs. Individuals must be able available to work on evenings, nights, weekends and holidays to ensure access to mission-critical work and end-users at all times.
