We are seeking a highly skilled Reverse Engineer specializing in binary analysis and firmware development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, understanding, and enhancing low-level software and firmware, focusing on embedded systems and cybersecurity. This role requires expertise in reverse engineering tools, techniques and methodologies with an emphasis on extracting meaning insights from compiled code and firmware binaries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reverse engineering of binary executables, firmware, and embedded systems to uncover functionality, vulnerabilities, and potential exploits.
- Analyze assembly code and disassembled binaries to determine software behavior and identify areas for improvement or security concerns.
- Utilize tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, Hex-Rays, and other reverse engineering platforms to decompile and analyze software.
- Develop scripts and software tools to aid in reverse engineering and analysis processes.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and software development teams to integrate findings into system improvements.
- Research and stay updated on new vulnerabilities, reverse engineering methodologies, and security trends.
- Create detailed technical documentation and reports based on analysis findings.
- Support the development of firmware patches or updates for identified issues or vulnerabilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in reverse engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Ada, Rust and Assembly.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware architectures, and embedded systems.
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja).
- Familiarity with low-level debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB, WinDbg).
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, security concepts, and exploitation techniques.
- Experience with firmware extraction and analysis from devices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree is preferred
- Experience in embedded software development and testing.
- Knowledge of hardware communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).
- Certifications in relevant fields such as Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) or GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM).
- Embedded Aviation Experience a plus
