Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Mid-Level Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support development of a tactical air to ground missile system through simulation analysis and model verification and validation (V&V) for the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC). The position consists of simulation execution to analyze system performance, developing models and analysis tools, algorithm testing and analysis, and pre-flight and post-flight test support. A well-suited applicant will be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with contractors and government employees. Experience with flight dynamics, tactical missile systems, RF phenomenology, target signatures, and modeling and simulation techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Simulation Execution: Conduct simulation runs to gather data and insights.
- System Performance Analysis: Assess the performance of missile systems through simulation.
- Analysis Tool Development: Create tools for analyzing simulation data.
- Model Development: Develop and enhance simulation models for tactical missile systems.
- Documentation and Presentation: Develop documentation and presentations to communicate findings.
- Flight Test Support: Provide preflight analysis to reduce risk, on-site test support to evaluate performance, and postflight analysis to validate simulation models.
- Collaboration: Work within a team composed of Government and contractor personnel.
Job Requirements
- Education: B.S. Degree, or higher, in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: A final DoD secret security clearance is required. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
- Programming Skills: Experience with MATLAB, C++, Python, or other programming languages, and familiarity with Linux.
- Simulation Experience: Minimum of two years' experience utilizing computer-based modeling and simulation to analyze system performance.
- Technical Background: Knowledge of six degrees of freedom simulations, Monte-Carlo techniques, verification/validation of models, tactical missile sensors, control systems, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, test planning and execution, and configuration management.
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Team and Independent Work: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly respond to changing engineering challenges and mission requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
