Description & Requirements
We are looking for an experienced systems engineer with demonstrated success designing and developing solutions for complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. In addition, we are looking for an engineer with proven success leading systems management and integration functions for cloud-based applications and infrastructures.
Major responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the design and development of information technology architecture.
- Serve as a technical expert on solutions design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs.
- Analyze the functionality and constraints of recommended solution/changes across multiple systems/platforms/applications.
- Ensure compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of solution architecture.
- Require broad and deep technical knowledge and experience across varying infrastructure requirements, development, design, and re-engineering.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.

Required:
- Due to program requirements, this position requires the ability obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Due to program requirements, this position requires US Citizenship.
- 7+ years of experience as a network engineer, architect, or telecommunications engineer for a government agency.
- University degree (BS) in a closely related field (Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology)
Minimum Requirements
TCS214, T4, Band 7
Preferred:
- Broad experience with infrastructure and compute environments like AWS, Azure, VMWare.
- ESRI and/or geospatial platform experience
- Alation or comparable data-oriented product ecosystems
- Experience with EPA centrally managed IT services and service portfolio
- Prior experience as a lead site reliability engineer or platform engineer is nice-to-have.
