We are seeking a highly qualified Network Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance to provide comprehensive IT support for the SAF/SA network infrastructure. This role involves maintaining network stability, managing user accounts, monitoring server environments, and providing expert technical support for a variety of operating systems and software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network administration, server management, and IT security, in compliance with DoD 8570 certification requirements and applicable security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Monitoring and User Management
Continuously monitor servers to ensure a stable network environment and maximize server availability.
Add and manage user accounts, including setting up group and file permissions.
Troubleshoot and manage user account issues and resolve network access challenges.
2. Equipment and Group Policy Management
Manage, install, and troubleshoot all network equipment, including printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
Configure and manage group policy settings to enforce security standards and user access policies.
3. Data Backup and Software Deployment
Perform daily backups of all servers, including operating system and critical files, to ensure data recoverability.
Deploy required software across servers using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to maintain software standardization.
4. Server Updates and Security Compliance
Administer and maintain the Windows Software Update Server (WSUS) to apply necessary software updates and security patches.
Ensure the SAF/SA VMware environment is kept up to date, including patching virtual servers as needed.
Manage server certificates in coordination with the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Team to ensure secure system access.
5. Network Switch and Data Access Management
Reconfigure network switches and manage port activation/deactivation as needed to maintain proper network connectivity.
Provide data storage access to outside agency users as directed by the government representative and remove access when notified.
6. Operating System and Server Management
Provide IT support for the installation, configuration, and management of operating systems and server types, including:
SQL Server
Exchange Server
VMware/ESXi
Windows Member and Domain Servers
Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) Image and/or Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
Veritas backup solutions
Software compilers (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, Intel Fortran)
7. Support for Specialized Software Applications
o Manage and provide IT support for SAF/SA’s COTS and GOTS software, as well as specialized applications, including:
Enhanced Surface to Air Missile Simulations (ESAMS)
BRAWLER
Theatre Attrition Model Simulation (TAMS)
Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)
Air Damage – Air Base Resiliency Model (AD-ARM)
Air Mobility Program (AMP)
Air Refueling Model (AMP-ARM)
Contingency Basing Selection and Assessment (CBSA)
Time Phased Force Deployment Data Planner (TPFDD-P)
Other approved locally developed software
8. Workstation Support
Provide full IT support, security services, and maintenance for non-NIPRNet workstations, including:
Installation, configuration, scanning, hardening, patching, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Management of Windows Workstations and all associated software.
