Job Title: Network Administrator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator with an active DoD Secret clearance to join our team at OSAAVA Services. This critical role will involve supporting and maintaining key network infrastructure for government operations, ensuring top-notch security, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations & Support:
Research and develop solutions to improve network functionality and security. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, VOIP phones, and other critical systems. Maintain and optimize Hyper-V virtual environments.
Firewall & Security Compliance:
Ensure compliance with DoD security standards by applying security STIGs and managing firewall policies across multiple vendors.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work with external agencies for training, resources, and quotes. Create clear and comprehensive documentation for network changes and project progress. Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Datacenter Technology:
Manage datacenter technologies, including Nexus switches and vPCs, ensuring uptime and optimal network performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a Network Administrator, including hands-on experience managing and configuring small-to-medium-sized networks and IT infrastructures.
Network & Security Expertise:
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, servers, VOIP systems, and compliance with DoD security standards (e.g., STIGs).
Clearance:
Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to maintain one). The clearance investigation must have occurred within the last 5.5 years.
Certifications:
Active, valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification (e.g., Security+), or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with creating technical documentation and diagrams.
Knowledge of Hyper-V, Solarwinds, TACLANEs, and datacenter network technologies (e.g., Nexus switches, vPCs).
Experience with managing and maintaining firewall policies and other network security measures.
