Responsible for the supervision of field engineers performing installation and maintenance, upkeep and repair of the copper and fiber optic cable inside and outside plant, desktop telephones and the related infrastructure; in support of the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS) O&M Telecommunication's contract.

Responsibilities include:
- Analyze, develop, and design outside plant (OSP) engineering modification request, and Enhancements and Modification Services (EMS) packages for SRNS.
• Walk down all jobs prior to designing them.
- Primary point of contact to interface with SRNS user departments to coordinate work and excavation.
- Reviewing statement of work for each work package.
- Reviewing drawings and materials list for each work package.
- Log, maintain status, and provide an overview of all WOs, and trouble reports.
- Process and track service orders related to OSP activity
- Ensure timely response to SRNS requirements to maintain service.
- Coordinate fiber and copper splicing issues.
- Operate MicroStation system, which includes Design Drawings, Work prints, and As-builts.
- Review (as-built) OSP drawing.
- Provide and maintain document control for OSP drawing and documentation.

Requirements
- Copper and Fiber OSP design and engineering
- Supervisory experience
- Microsoft office knowledge
- Local and Wide area network knowledge
- Telecommunication knowledge
- Fiber and Copper knowledge
- Excellent communications skills
- CAD knowledge
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a current driver's license
- Must pass an alcohol and substance abuse test
- Must be able to pass to obtain DOE Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Clearance Required: DOE Q
- Minimum Education: Highschool
Minimum Years of Experience: 10
Preferred:
- DOE Clearance.
- Familiarity with MicroStation, TMS (CAIRS) systems,
- BICSI certification
- PMP certification
