Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD area. This is a onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Receives technical advice from supervisor or professional engineer and executes non-routine, complex assignments.
  • Responsible for developing and/or reviewing designs through extraction and analysis of engineering data.
  • Develop, prepare, or recommend schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings and parts lists for a variety of non-routine assignments of varied complexity.
  • Conducting tests or experiments.
  • Construct experimental models/proto types that meet engineering requirements; performing tests for adherence; redesign as necessary; record and evaluate data and report findings.
  • May be responsible for guiding lower-level technicians through tasking.
  • Will have regular interaction with senior level personnel.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree in a Technical or Scientific area.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of six (6) years of recent experience relevant to the description in the Responsibilities section above.
  • Four (4) years of experience in installation of hardware and/or equipment is required.
  • One (1) year of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings is requires.
  • Experience may be concurrent (all within the six (6) years).
  • A High School diploma or GED credential and three (3) additional years of relevant experience, for a total of nine (9) years of relevant experience, may be substituted for the Associate degree.
  • Must have experience working in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have experience working in a design/schematic software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWOKS, MicroStation, Altium Designer.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of time.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Navy aviation systems.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizenship and a current Secret clearance is required


Physical Requirements:
  • Tasking is primarily computer based.
  • The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management in person as well as through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS).
