Solidus is searching for a Java Software Engineer to join a team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. You will support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. In this role, you will use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions.
Day in the life:
• Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
• The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
What you will bring to the role:
• US Citizenship and an Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience.
• At least 1 year experience developing or supporting complex applications using Java.
• Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).
Preferred Experience with:
• Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Agile development methodologies.
• DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
• Building automated tests.
