RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Intermediate Network Engineer and on-site government personnel in responding to and managing any tickets, alerts, or communications that come into the Network Operations Center.
Follow up with other government and contractor personnel on outstanding ticket updates.
Observe the actions of other contractor personnel to capture and assist with ticket updates or notes for after action reviews.
Provide support to other contractor personnel towards the accomplishment of their responsibilities and duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active Top-Secret security clearance
1-3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and resolving LAN/WAN issues.
Basic knowledge of IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, Stateful firewalls and encryption technologies.
Working knowledge of network management tools, such as Riverbed, Wireshark, Micro Focus Network Automation, etc.
Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems. Must have good knowledge of general security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise Core and Infrastructure certification.
Associates of Science degree (preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area
