Job Description:
Argo is seeking a System Engineer Level 2 to join a specialized Infrastructure Services/CSD-NTOC team. This role requires expertise in Linux and a Full Scope Polygraph clearance to be considered. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and resolving complex server hardware, application, and software integration issues. They will work with both UNIX and Windows operating systems, providing troubleshooting, configuration, and operational enhancements to ensure system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and resolve complex problems with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating systems software.
Troubleshoot, maintain the integrity of, and configure network components to improve system reliability and performance.
Develop system requirements specifications based on user needs, concept of operations, and high-level system architectures.
Lead design and development activities for systems, integrating technology and design.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements and design into ongoing operations.
Develop technical documentation including system architecture and system design.
Guide system development through system engineering management plans, integration plans, and test plans.
Interact with the Government to address Systems Engineering issues, conflicts, and technical considerations.
Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering domain.
Collaborate with other personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Key Capabilities:
Manage system requirements and ensure production systems align with defined system architectures (e.g., DoDAF, SOA).
Contribute to the creation of engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Assist in developing functional and system requirements and allocate them to hardware, software, and personnel components.
Coordinate action items from design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews, requiring cross-discipline coordination.
Design new capabilities based on evaluations from an Integrated Product Team.
Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria for verifying systems and subsystems against requirements.
Develop system solutions that fulfill functional and system requirements.
Provide input to work breakdown structures, work packages, and integrated master plans.
Contribute to system engineering documentation, including engineering plans and initial capability documents.
Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Full Scope Polygraph is required.
Experience: A minimum of 14 years of experience as a System Engineer (SE) on similar programs/contracts.
Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Alternatively, 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Proven experience in system design, technical leadership, and system integration.
Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) preferred.
