A day in the life of a Geospatial Analyst:
A GIS specialist begins with sifting through various data sources to acquire geospatial information, carefully converting it between different GIS and non-GIS formats. After digitizing data from maps and field surveys, they delve into vector-based analyses, executing spatial queries and conducting buffer and clipping operations to derive meaningful insights. They might also integrate satellite imagery, performing raster image processing to enhance visualization. Work also includes crafting animations and video fly-throughs using the ArcGIS software suite, showcasing complex spatial relationships. Some days will also include providing training sessions to colleagues, sharing their expertise and empowering others to leverage GIS tools effectively.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- Experience acquiring geospatial data form multiple sources and convert data between different GIS and non-GIS formats
- Ability to digitize GIS data from various sources
- Experience performing various vector based analytic functions including spatial queries, buffer analysis, clipping, merging and joining.
- Experience integrating satellite imagery and derived products and perform raster image processing
- Ability to create animations and video fly-throughs using ArcGIS software suite.
- Ability to provide GIS training
- Bachelors Degree from Accredited University
