The Master Electrician is responsible for installing and configuring IT power and electrical equipment for a temporary overseas assignment in Japan. This position requires a licensed Master Electrician with hands-on experience in electrical installations, particularly in IT environments. The role will involve less than one month of work performance overseas, with travel required 100% of the time to Japan for the first 3 weeks of December. An active SECRET clearance is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT power systems and electrical equipment in compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in a high-tech environment, ensuring adherence to local and international electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure proper configuration and operation of electrical and IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to system operations.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within scope, and adheres to safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to electrical configurations and installations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Must have a valid and current Master Electrician's license.
  • 10 or more years' experience with installing and configuring IT power systems and electrical equipment is required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work overseas in Japan for less than one month.
  • Active SECRET clearance preferred but not required.
