Are you an experienced Avionics Engineer passionate about advancing defense technology and supporting critical aircraft systems? We're looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH. This is a hybrid role that combines office work with some remote flexibility, perfect for an engineer eager to apply their expertise in avionics to help improve performance and sustainability in both current and future Air Force and joint-service weapon systems.

Clearance Required: Secret (or ability to qualify)
Key Responsibilities:

Apply in-depth knowledge of DoD and Air Force engineering principles to enhance and maintain avionics subsystems, encompassing design, integration, testing, and airworthiness certification.
Oversee and support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) testing and certification, including compliance with CNS/ATM standards for communication and navigation.
Perform systems analyses, technical evaluations, and reviews to ensure airworthiness and operational safety, contributing to the system's performance, sustainability, and compliance with safety standards.
Engage in technical meetings, support system upgrades, and analyze avionics design to align with program requirements.
Collaborate on critical documents, including system specifications, test plans, and safety protocols.
Specialized Duties:

Provide insights on controls, displays, and data bus systems for aircraft, ensuring alignment with FAA and DoD certifications.
Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements for design and development, contributing to the lifecycle of aircraft and weapons systems.
Support environmental assessments, milestone preparations, and adherence to safety and risk management protocols.
Qualifications:

Education: BS/MS in an ABET-accredited engineering field
Experience: 15+ years in technical/professional engineering, with at least 5 years in DoD-related work.
Skills: Proficient in avionics systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based applications.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
