We are looking for a Senior Budget Support Analyst to join our team supporting Colorado Springs
Responsibilities
- Engage in the lifecycle cost management and resource cost estimating for multi-year projects and activities
- Manage the collection, validation and update of financial execution data to budget execution databases and other customized organizational decision-support tools on a recurring basis
- Responsible for various recurring reports that track and forecast spending at the program, project and component level
- Modify database queries and reports to meet analytical demands as required
- Provide analysis, produce briefing charts, and generate supporting documentation
- Prepare, coordinate and transmit funding documents from multiple funding streams and appropriations to support program efforts across numerous partner organizations
- Monitor major program-level contracts and provide data and/or recommendations to support fiscal-oriented decisions
- Provide key support in the development and implementation of a requirement validation and prioritization process.
Skills Required
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience and have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, and/or Accounting; in lieu of Bachelor's degree candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of eight (10) years of relevant experience
- Financial management experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, budget execution experience in a DoD Acquisition/Sustainment program, and experience in the DoD PPBE and Process are required
- Experience with DoD Space Programs is desired
- Analytical experience providing decision support and program advocacy inputs/products to DoD management is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Competency and experience with CCaR, DEAMS, CRIS, and FM Suite systems is highly desired
- Experience with Air Force (AF) proprietary systems to include ABSS, DTS, DoD EDS, DTIMS, WAWF, AF accounting experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the budget process for a DoD acquisition or sustainment program is required
- Expertise managing and providing product/analysis support for FYDP programming/budgeting (to include the AF POM and OSD BES) is desired
- Current Secret Security Clearance required
- Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000/year, DOE
