Overview:
Strong background in IAM policy and permission boundaries
Develop and maintain shipping and sustaining applications deployed in containers and Kubernetes environments, primarily using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service(EKS)
Developing, publishing, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
Developing and maintain python-based applications using pytest and cucumber framework OR recent Java with Junit5. Junit 4 experience acceptable provided candidate trains and demonstrates competence with Junit5 prior to EOD.
Creating, implementing, and maintaining IAM Policies, Roles, Permission Boundaries, and SCPs across multiple AWS Organizations.
Use of Terraform Enterprise and Vault Enterprise to manage IaaS, securing sensitive data, and automating workflows.
Mentor teammates to improve their skills, provide both primary and secondary technical review, and offer design, architectural and/or process improvements.
Cloud Software Engineer Job Description :
Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.
The Level 5 Cloud Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Design, implement, integrate and test new features and capabilities for cloud native service offerings. These systems must be able to run in a hybrid cloud model using containerization, container orchestration, and function based (such as server-less) technologies.
Must be able to perform expert level trouble shooting of technologies in this area with the ability of identifying, and resolving core issues through changes to code pushed upstream when possible (i.e. Open Source).
Must be able to support as the highest tier of operational support across all products when all other support models fail. Developing and designing web-based user interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data and developing web services that provide gRPC and REST-based APIs.
Must be able to perform expert level trouble shooting of technologies in this area with the ability of identifying, and resolving core issues through changes to code pushed upstream when possible (i.e. Open Source).
Must be able to support as the highest tier of operational support across all products when all other support models fail.
Ability to develop automation software for automatic pki certificate creation from an API and delivery of that certificate via infrastructure offerings such but not limited to as cloud vendors, OpenStack, or container orchestration platforms.
Must be able to perform expert level trouble shooting of technologies in this area with the ability of identifying, and resolving core issues through changes to code pushed upstream when possible (i.e. Open Source).

Qualifications:
With the most recent experience being no more than (1.5) years past, a minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience programming with at least one (1) object oriented language, such as but not limited to Java, Python, C++ or Go, or sixteen (16) years of experience building large platforms by integrating open source or commercial software together with automation scripting.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
5 years functional experience with containerization technologies like Docker
8 years functional experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as but not limited to Kubernetes
An additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted for all minimum requires listed above with an active Certified Kubernetes Application Developer status. This may be stacked with active CKA status.
