We are looking for a skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage model-based methodologies to design, analyze, and optimize complex systems across various domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, create system architectures, and develop models that enhance system performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering principles, as well as experience with modeling tools and techniques. Work is mostly on-site in San Antonio, TX, but will provide some remote work too.

Requirements
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents.
- Provide MBSE/Systems Modeling Language (SysML) expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team.
- Work collaboratively in a digital engineering environment, integrating data from across systems engineering disciplines into a cohesive system model.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements and specifications.
- Conduct system analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and performance.
- Ensure integration of model-based approaches into the engineering lifecycle.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
- 5+ years of experience with data/systems modeling and a Bachelors in related field or 3 years experience with Masters; or High School Diploma and 9 years experience.
- Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Proficient in creating and utilizing Views to support defense-related projects.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks to drive strategic alignment and system integration.
- Adept at engaging with IT subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights and seamlessly incorporate them into architectural plans.
- Proven experience in developing and documenting systems of systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Experience in model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody, enhancing model development and validation processes.
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex concepts and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Antonio, TX about 4 days/week, with some remote work options available. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
- Must have a INCOSE CSEP certification
Preferred Requirements
- Prior BDP experience is highly preferred.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.
