Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD . This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD . This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Management of IT system infrastructure and any processes related to those systems
- Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
- Providing problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Configuration and management of Windows operating systems and installing/loading operating system software
- Administering and securing network switching and routing devices
- Managing and maintaining network security through the use of access controls and path management
- Implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
- Performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Providing Tier 2 / Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installing/loading operating system software.
- Implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
- Providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 10 years of total experience with Security + Certification.
- Experience with:
- Implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
- Performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Providing Tier 1 / Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installing/loading operating system software.
- Implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
- Providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Windows Operating System (Server & Desktop)
- Exchange / Active Directory
- Basic network administration (Cisco routers/switches)
- Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Working within a software development environment
- Agile methodology
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Currently hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
