ServiceNow Developer, Mid
Using both Out of the Box and Scoped ServiceNow applications, the ServiceNow Developer will work with the development team to build and refine business logic to enhance business capabilities, improve security, and maximize the Veterans Administrations Enterprise ServiceNow capability. You will analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you are developing considers the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Responsibilities:
• Work with the development team, B.A., Testers and stakeholders to support design, developing, installing, and troubleshooting ServiceNow applications.
• Integrating it with other programs.
• Learning about the latest developments in one or more aspects of computer programming
• Training, documentation, and support.
• Responsible for ensuring that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
• Troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support users of applications developed by the enterprise application development team.
• Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
• Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.
• Develop enhancements for applications developed by the enterprise application development team.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow software design and development or8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Experience with ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and other ServiceNow application modules
• Experience in working with Web technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, HTML and CSS
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification
• BA or BS degree
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with following Agile Scrum development methods
• Ability to work with stakeholders to define requirements.
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification
• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
