What You'll Do:
Groundswell is seeking an experienced cloud engineer with experience utilizing cloud capabilities to implement secure systems within a complex customer ecosystem. In this role, you will use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet challenging federal missions.
- Collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud solution components.
- Work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps through products like Kubernetes.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather goals and objectives, identify gaps, and develop differentiated solutions that solve mission needs.
- Conceptualize, architect, develop, and communicate solutions that will drive customer success and achieve program objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 4-years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2 years.
- Must be a US Citizen with active TS/SCI Clearance and eligibility for CI Poly.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems in AWS, using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, or CloudWatch.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with multi-functional teams.
- Generate clear and maintainable documentation for each updated area of the application as a reference for future development efforts.
- May require occasional travel (up to 5%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming in Python for automation and scripting tasks.
- Experience in working with data manipulation libraries and data serialization formats, including JSON and XML.
Certification:
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer preferred).
