Job Title: System Engineer Level 3 (Linux) – Full Scope Poly Required

Position: System Engineer Level 3 (Linux)
This role requires expertise in UNIX systems, server hardware troubleshooting, software integration, and network component configuration. The candidate will analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues and contribute to system enhancements for improved reliability and performance.
Please Note: Candidates must currently hold an active Full Scope Poly clearance to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage UNIX-based systems and install/load operating system software.
Analyze user requirements, system architectures, and technical specifications.
Lead design, development, and integration efforts.
Guide users in formulating system requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
Provide technical leadership for system integration and implementation planning.
Develop system architecture, design documentation, and technical plans.
Ensure compliance with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop new system capabilities.
Implement Information Assurance services such as Access Control, Authentication, and Cryptography.
Assess system risks and implement risk management plans.
Manage system baselines, ensuring integrity throughout the system lifecycle.
Support DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes.
Develop technical documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Interface Control Documents, and IA Strategy.
Required Skills & Technologies:
Extensive experience with Linux/UNIX system engineering
Strong background in NetApp storage solutions
Knowledge of DoDAF and SOA implementation
Configuration and management of network components
Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Technical documentation and system design expertise
Qualifications:
Active Full Scope Poly clearance (Mandatory)
20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) in contracts of similar scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
An additional five (5) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
