Position: System Engineer lv3
This role involves analyzing system requirements, leading design and development efforts, and ensuring seamless system integration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills and experience with NetApp storage solutions, DoDAF architecture, and SOA implementation.
Please Note: Candidates must currently hold an active Full Scope Poly clearance to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system specifications.
Lead system design and development activities, ensuring technical integrity.
Provide technical guidance in system integration and technology selection.
Develop technical documentation, including System Architecture and Design Documentation.
Manage system requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
Develop System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Interface Control Documents.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities based on operational considerations.
Implement comprehensive SOA solutions and assess system risks in accordance with approved risk management plans.
Ensure all interface designs are captured in a common repository.
Support DoD Certification/Accreditation processes and Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) documents.
Provide technical direction for complex hardware/software system development.
Work closely with government stakeholders, senior executives, and program personnel.
Required Skills & Technologies:
NetApp data storage experience (Mandatory)
Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementation
Windows and UNIX system engineering
Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Technical documentation and system design expertise
Help Desk experience (Client requires one late shift starting at 6 PM)
Flexibility for evening work on Patch Days
Qualifications:
Active Full Scope Poly clearance (Mandatory)
20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) in contracts of similar scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
An additional five (5) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Must be able to travel to California at least once per year.
